DaLabeler is easy to use, but please refer to the documentation for
information about inputting neccessary data for configuration. To read
the documentation for DaLabeler, run the file DL40DOC.EXE. This file
is a stand alone program that lets you view the documentation on your
screen or print the contents to your printer.
New for version 4.0 is an installation program. Simply run INSTALL and
follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
It has come to my attention that some Epson compatible printers do not
print the header and footer of the label corretly. Instead, the text
is elongated, while the actual directory listing is printed properly.
Thanks to the efforts of a couple of users I've been able to find out
what is ailing these printers. The problem has to do with the control
code for bold printing. Seems some printers, after receiving this code,
print the subscript text in elongated print. The fix is simple (finding
it was the headache). Simply delete the control codes for BOLD print.
The label should now print properly.
Labels printed on the 3.5" labels will be a tight fit, the first line
printed must start at the very top of the label. With the 4.0" label,
you have some room to play with when printing. The 4.0" label makes a
very nice size to use for labeling your disks. When using the 2.75"
labels the program name/copyright notice will be printed as the second
line on the label. This allows this information to be wrapped around the
back of the disk. Use this print line to align the label in the printer.
And remember, please register the program IF YOU USE IT. It's only with
continued support that features and functions will continued to be added
to DaLabeler.
